Sheet Metal Fabrication of Stainless Steel Junction Box for the Railroad IndustryA railroad industry client approached Technimetal Precision Industries Corporation to fabricate a stainless steel junction box. The experts at Technimetal began by laser cutting the sheet metal into a flat pattern layout. After bending and TIG welding, we used a PEM insertion machine to thread the inserts and insert the stand-offs. Each box, which measured 1/8" thick, 8" long, 7" wide and 4" high, was made from stainless steel, and we held tightest tolerances of ±.010" throughout manufacturing. After a 100% dimensional inspection, we delivered the 50 stainless steel junction boxes to the customers location. For more details about this stainless steel fabrication please see the project highlights below. If you have any questions about our other industry-leading services please contact Technimetal.
