Sheet Metal Fabrication of Steel Enclosure for the Railroad Industry

Steel Metal Fabrication Steel EnclosureTechnimetal Precision Industries Corporation was asked by a customer in the railroad industry to fabricate the sheet metal for a steel enclosure. Using a top-of-the-line Amada laser, we began the order by laser cutting the sheet metal into a flat pattern layout. We then formed the louvers using an Amada punch, bent the sheet metal to 90° angles and TIG welded the sheet metal. After the primary work was concluded, we threaded the studs and inserts, completed all riveting and then coated the part with a white powder coat. After a 4-6 week production period, which included a 100% dimensional inspection, we delivered the 150 steel electronics enclosures to the customer's location.
